Our Lady & St Joseph's - Parish Pastoral Council

Introduction

Our Lady and St Joseph’s PPC was formed in July 2009 when it changed its name from the ‘Parish Pastoral Development Group’ and formally adopted a constitution. We are now over two years in and have elected Peter Sunter as Chair, Mary McArdle as Vice-Chair and Maureen Wilson as Secretary. These positions will be up for election again in Autumn 2011.

We have a vacancy on the PPC. If you would like to be put forward, or if you think you know of someone who would be good on the Council, please see Fr. Peter. You could always just drop a note through the Rectory letterbox.

Minutes of the meetings and the constitution have been put on the PPC board at the back of church since July 2009, as well as a calendar of meetings and the names of members of the PPC. You can see these now by clicking on the links above.

Any readers of the Minutes will see that we have been busy and have discussed various issues to do with the physical needs of the parish as well as social and the (we feel more important) spiritual needs. The PPC acts as an umbrella group to help co-ordinate the fulfilment of these needs through the various organisations already there in Our Lady’s and perhaps to initiate groups or work where we think there is a gap.
